I'm thinking of getting some work done to my small abode mainly to make it slightly less small and to fit in some more storage!
As such I would be very grateful if anyone has recommendations for a builder and a carpenter!
many thanks!
Chris

Our own Carl Ferri and his colleague Shaun are absolutely the business.

Hi Chris, did you find anyone in the end? I'm looking for someone to re-tile and redecorate a bathroom, including replacing some of the fittings... Carl Ferri if you see this, would really appreciate a quote or recommendation! The flat in question is in Finsbury Park.

Hi @hjr, We've just finished entirely regutting the entire house after a year-long refurbishment exercise, and these guys did both bathrooms, three bedrooms, landing and reception which all came out really well: dtcservices.co.uk/Worth giving them a shout. Alvaro

I am glad to see that Alvaro puts his toilet paper on the dispenser the right way round

That is so WRONG! The paper should always hang with the end nearest the wall. The stresses caused by pulling the roller over, rather than under, are far greater, esp when fully loaded with a 50mm Andrex All-Seasons. I was replacing the bearings in my Chris King Toilet Roll Holder every 18 months until I saw the error of my ways.
PS - On the other hand, the Campag Super-Leggere towel rail and radiator combo is a very smart choice...

I feel there needs to be a "house refurbishing & DIY" appreciation thread on this forum.
