A few testers are interested to have a go at some Aero testing using the Chung Method at Herne Hill Velodrome. The goal is essentially to test various positions and bits of equipment by following a protocol using your own power meter and speed sensor.

We're considering booking the velodrome (HHV) for few sessions, starting in August.
What you'll need:
A power meter
A speed sensor
A unit to collect power and speed data (e.g. Garmin Edge)
Access to Golden Cheetah Software (free): goldencheetah.org/
The protocol involves riding for few minutes at constant speed while testing a different setup. Data is collected and analysed after the session.
Note: these sessions won't be led or professionally organised, however going through the protocol together should help us refine and improve our findings and support each other. Lowering your CdA is a sure way to improve your results "for free", in particular Time trialling and Track racing, however this is not restricted to any discipline.
Each session could accommodate between 4 and 8 people during which riders can experiment with 6 to 8 setup. For 4 riders we might consider an hour slot only but beyond this we'll need to book 2 hours. These will be very early sessions, possibly from 6am or 7am. The goal is to run the session at a quiet time with wind as close to zero as possible.
The velodrome costs £65 per hour to hire so I expect cost to be between £16/£24 each.
Dates considered
Sun 7th August
Sun 14th August
Sat 20th August
Sun 4th Sept
Sat 10th Sept
Please post here if interested with your preferred dates.
