I have managed to break two garmin "out front" mounts and wondered if anyone has had the same problem / has a fix / can recommend a better mount.
The same thing has happened both times (within a few months of using the mount) - the two pieces of plastic that the screw goes through to hold the mount onto the bars no longer hold together. The screw doesn't catch on the bottom piece - I am guessing the thread has gone? Am quite frustrated by this happening to me twice as they are not so cheap...
Thanks in advance for any advice!

K-edge all the way, they are metal and very sturdy.

I have a K-edge & it's fine. Probably also worth you getting in contact with the manufacturer of your previous mounts. A little bit of push back re the quality might reap some reward.

I went K Edge to put Go Pro on too - seems great - more elegant than the garmin ones...
