A friend / colleague at work has (been) signed up to do the Maratona this year but she's not a cyclist and needs a bike! She really needs one asap to get training...although she is doing the shorter version and has run a marathon so I think she'll get there!
Does anyone have (or know of) a 2nd hand road bike they are looking to sell. Size wise I think she'd be about a 52cm... I think a decent (at least Shim 105 / Sram Rival) spec alu or carbon bike would be suitable. I said I'd ask here first because she'd probably get a better deal than doing the ride to work scheme and buying a new one from Evans.
Thank you Kathryn

I'm thinking of selling my Orbea... purely cos my fleet of bikes is getting unmanageable and it would force me to use the X bike instead. It's Alu / CroMoly - responsive, not too heavy, 28 on the back - enough for shorter version of Maratona! It's a 56 but is lady size 56, ie more like 54, so maybe a touch too big.

Thanks Sara but I think it would be too big for her; you're about my size.
