Hi all,
We are running the women's skills training sessions again this winter. These will be a couple of weekend threequarter days in Nov and Dec and will be held on one of the local closed circuits. They will be private sessions - just us and a coach, and women only. They will be open to all standards and abilities of rider, it's all very progressive, and there's no need to worry about having lots of fitness - it's about skills rather than being a fitness session. And they're also lots of fun!
If you've attended these before, you will know how useful they are for skills updates and improved technique. For those new to these sessions, then a circuit means you can get taught in a safe environment with no traffic to worry about, learn more bike handling skills, including cornering and better group riding skills, making you a better and more confident rider, and also meeting more Paragonettes.
We will also have a goodie bag to give out to all entered, courtesy of Rapha (thanks @bethbrynhodge ) and some DPCC socks to also distribute. There will be a small cost to the session but DPCC kindly subsidises the rest.
***UPDATE***
We now have a few potential dates in the calendar and have managed to secure the support and coaching services of a female coach - Jen McNaught - which is great news!
In her own words Jen is "...always keen to see more people on bikes whatever their skill level. Helping improve people's bike skills is very rewarding and is required at every level within the sport. Dulwich Paragon are a club very close to my heart; I raced my first season in a Dulwich Jersey. Giving back to the club and to cycling as a whole is a big focus for me."
We are looking at running two 3hr sessions (depending on demand) one in Dec and one in Jan/Feb.
Date for the Dec training
Sun 10th Dec, 10am to 1pm, Lee Valley Velopark (very handy!).
This will be 2hrs on the circuit and 1hr in a classroom, with a nearby lunch after for those who are able.
There will be a small charge of £5 to help cover costs.
Please sign up on Rider HQ here:

Date for the Jan/Feb is tbd.
If interested in the Dec 10th date, could you please add your name to the thread below.
Many thanks,
Emma and Amy
