Kate at Le Loop has asked me to spread the word about a new initiative to get more women riding the Tour de France route. Please see the information below and attached flyer:
Le Loop (formerly Tour de Force) is a cycling challenge that rides the entire route of the Tour de France, one week ahead of the pros. Riders can choose from one of 10 Loops that range from 2 to all 21 stages of the Tour each year. Roughly 10% of the field is made up of women, but we’d love it to be more. So this year we’ve created Team Marie – and with the help and support of our brilliant new lead cyclist, Transcontinental Race winner Emily Chappell, we think there’s never been a better time for women to ride Le Tour.
We’re about 85% sold out for 2018, so there are still a few places remaining on each Loop (apart from the ‘Grand Loop’ – all 21 stages – which sold out in 3 hours).
