As Sunday quickly rolled around again most were woken by an unfamiliar sound on the windows. The sight of rain brought fear to most, what the wear, which tyres to ride and at what pressure.
This weeks (not so) London League was down in Brighton at Preston park, althoigh in the past few weeks a silent revolt has appeared with a few members racing central league. The main reasonings down to a shorter train journey, instagram worthy photographers and a large women’s turnout.
As those arrived in Preston park the fear of rain disappeared as the racing kicked off. In the v40s Dylan has a strong race and crossed the line in 9th with Magnus and Aaron finishing in 24th and 59th.
As the women kicked of Dalila led the women out of the Velodrome on the first lap. Both her and Sara had brilliant race with winning her category and Sara coming 2nd! Meanwhile Joe and Mark were battling it out for 37th and 51st respectively.
As the seniors kicked off dark clouds appeared that was followed by two laps of downpour which resulted in a strange dusty lower course and slick turns up top that had most moving sideways. Eddie had a strong race that saw him finished in 4th closely followed by Dave in 7th, Sam in 16th and Will getting 42nd in his first cx race.
Scores on the doors over at central league were 7th for honorary member Olivia, Aiden 6th, Chris 9th and Alex dnf
See you all at the next one!

Replacement bus service on Southern Region was definitely not helpful in attracting the team down to Brighton.
At sign-on thinking "Who's that idiot wearing a world champions jersey? Oh, its a world champion." Good to see Ben Tullet doing his thing in the juniors, and winning comfortably with little apparent effort.
