Would anyone like to join what promises to be great Geneva to Nice trip across the Alps this summer? It’s a week-long trip run by Gav McDonald, a former pro, and his partner Chez, through their firm Rather Be Cycling. They’re based up the Lakes. Their mate Andy is going to be driving the van. They’re all great company and really know how to look after their guests. Sharon Moller (formerly DPCC, now Sydney CC), Will Whiteley and I all had a fantastic time with them last year, riding from Geneva to Venice. Sharon is again coming back to Europe for this trip and we all can’t wait for this year’s version! It’s an eight night point to point trip, starting at Geneva airport on the afternoon of Saturday 13 July and ending in the centre of Nice on Sunday 21 July. It's guaranteed to run and the cost is £1,695, but all meals, bike snacks, and mechanical support and guiding are included in that. Flights are plentiful and are currently about £160 for the whole return trip. There will be some challenging days in the mountains and the route includes some classic climbs including l’Iseran, Galibier, Izoard, Vars & Bonette-Restefond. All the details are here: www.ratherbecycling.co.uk/cycling-holidays/europe/the-route-des-grandes-alpes-geneva-to-nice/Do drop me a line or speak to me on a club ride if you’d like to find out more (I’ll be doing London-Brighton-London on Sunday for example), or get in touch with Gav & Cheryl directly using the details on their website or info@ratherbecycling.
