Announcing the...
6TH ANNUAL DULWICH FOOTPATH HILLCLIMB & SUMMER SOCIAL - SATURDAY JULY 20 at 2pm
Our yearly light-hearted (but keenly contested) challenge to see who can climb the 0.5km / 18% ramp that forms the footpath (aka Low Cross Wood Lane) the fastest. For those who don't know it, it's the footpath that starts on College Road, opposite Sydenham Hill BR and goes all the way up to Crescent Wood Road, opposite The Wood House pub. We have permission from The Dulwich Estate, which owns the path and will be making a contribution to the local Leonard Cheshire home, by way of thanks.
We've added extra spice this year by inviting / challenging our cycling neighbours VCL and Herne Hill Youth CC to come and av a go if they think they're fast enuff!
It's FREE to enter (club covers levies & fees) but you will be encouraged to make a donation on the day. And we need to know numbers, so please sign-up here.... And volunteering to help with the event doesn't let you off the hilly hook - you can do your DP duty AND compete.
