Anyone got this? Just thinking when you’re abroad and you hire some flash bike but there’s no insurance available - or they offer it at ridiculous rate/terms/excess... tips welcome, thanks!

I used Yellow Jersey last week for a trip to David Emery's place: £35 for 5 days' cover - which I thought was a bit pricey, TBH.

Ditto in every regard, but couldn’t find another option.

Depends on your attitude to risk, but an insurance actuary I know once said that statistically you should only insure against catastrophic loss (e.g house burning down). Otherwise keep your money in the bank and save it just in case the bad thing ever happens - your own emergency fund essentially. If it doesn’t, you’ve got your money instead of some company preying on your cognitive bias towards loss aversion: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loss_aversion.
