Hi all, Esther has organised some great women's training sessions the last two winters, and I wanted to see whether there was interest in doing a similar thing this coming winter / spring. Please let me know if you've got any ideas / suggestions on what you might like to see during these sessions, so we can get an idea of how we should set them up. Last year, we had sessions as Lee Valley, Hog Hill and Gravesend - 2hr training on the bike and a 1 hour of classroom session where Jen and Paul talked about anything from training plans to nutrition. My general idea was to maybe split them in two groups: have 2/3 winter sessions for the (wannabe) racers, especially people aiming to enter LWR which started in late March this year (maybe include some TT training for people who'd be interested in joining their TT league?), and some 'general skills' sessions in spring when the weather might be a bit better. Last year, we had the men join us for the race training, we could do that again this year as it was nice to have a proper group riding round the circuits. We could keep the general skills sessions women only - and maybe open it up to non-Dulwich women so we can scoop them up and have them join our club once they see firsthand what a nice club we are? It would be nice to try and use the crit circuit at Herne Hill for one or more of the sessions as it's so local, if we can manage to book that, but it will depend on track / trainer availability.
