Hi David, Resurrecting an old post here. Is the Big Dog possible on a cross bike? Did you do the 6 hours solo or as part of a team? Cheers

There was a bit of conversation about this earlier in the year @michaelcycle - suggestions were that CX may struggle a bit, and I think you already asked that question dulwichparagon.proboards.com/thread/8277/brighton-big-dogI've signed up with my other half and another guy I know, we're doing a team of 3. I'll put that one down to amnesia :-)
Looks like a pretty hard course. I've now swapped out my compact for a 1x10 with 32t narrow-wide chainring up front, so the uphills should be alright. Just the downhills & the pinch flats I seem to forever suffer in CX races to worry about.

We'll be setting up a small dulwich pitch if you want to pull up some camping chairs and join us @sophie
We'll be getting there for about 10:30am to do some warmup and check the course out.

What an awesome event, the circuit was da bomb, big climbs, extremely technical and rooty singletrack and pretty scary descents, I loved it more every lap. Lucy and I managed 6th place in the Team Mixed category, missing 5th place by 2 minutes over the 6 hour event, which I can sadly attribute to me smashing into a tree in the 1st km of my first lap, leaving me with no front break for the whole lap. Well done to Sophie + other half who managed 5th place overall in the Mixed Pair category. www.timelaps.co.uk/assets/uploads/EVENTREPORT.aspx?eventid=339StanmerPark15/08/2015Alvaro
