Don't suppose you would be willing to rent it out for a week before you sell it would you ? Helen's stages has died just before we head off to Majorca!

I had a first generation Stages and it had all the problems people initially mentioned. Since they replaced it (great customer service btw) it has worked without any problems. I think they have totally resolved the initial issues. For the price and ease of use, swapping between bikes etc, I think my Stages is fantastic.

I had a couple of customers with first generation Stages and they had short battery life problems, and the battery door seals weren't much good so the electrics got waterlogged. Stages acknowledged these faults and replaced the cranks, both are now very happy customers.
I've recently bought one myself and it's great. Very easy to use, and simple to swap from one bike to another if you have a decent 5mm allen key and the Shimano BB cap tool (the new Park BBT-10 is superb). The battery life has been good and I've been able to update the firmware with an app on my iPhone.
Of course, it hasn't made me a more powerful cyclist, I'm just more able to quantify my lack of strength...!
Incidentally, one minor drawback with Stages is that the electronics can only be fitted to alloy cranks, at the moment. Stages say that most carbon cranks don't have a consistent enough structure for the strain gauges to be accurate. So there won't be any Campagnolo Record or SR Stages for the foreseeable future.
