*Update* Attachment Deleted Rob from Just Pedal is going to be at the awards night this Thursday if people have questions about the trip and are interested in meeting him. There seems to be a lot of people still thinking about it but flight prices are starting to creep up. Just Pedal have added more information to the booking site (see link below), including a sample itinerary. just-pedal.com/tour/dpcc-andalucia-2015/ Average temperature is about 20C with low rainfall (see attached climate graph). Just Pedal have done some scouting and planning trips. There is more information to follow but they have sent me the attached pictures and the text below. We have a few extra's that we can offer your members before, during and after the event.
We are now working in partnership with ECS coaching (http://www.ecscoaching.co.uk/) and Tim Whitehead their head coach will be ride leading for us on the trip. This will allow us to provide the following additional services (some more prices to follow) to your members before, during and after the trip.
- FTP testing - Coaching seminars on topics of your choice - 1-1 or small group coaching sessions - Bespoke training and coaching plans
Coaching sessions will be £75 per hour for groups of 1-3 people. If anyone is interested please let me know as Tim is happy to call them before the trip to ensure they get the most from their session whilst out in Spain.
We have also set-up a partnership with Cycleworks as our official bikefit providers. They use the acclaimed Specialized Geometry fit system and Kieran Ali (the highest qualified fitter in the UK) will also be ride leading for us. We are hoping to bring a retul fitting jig meaning we can run bikefits whilst in Spain on the training camp.

Hi Rahal,
I would be interested in some coaching, too. Especially on climbing - but everything else as well!

I might be interested in coaching - descending and cornering - could buddy up with Martina, if she's up for that, to keep things affordable...
BTW, how supported are the rides? I'm guessing no vehicles? I'm wondering about bringing some basic spare bits, but pretty useless at mechanical stuff anyway!
And I've just noticed that the bike transfer also says 'luggage' - sounds like a godsend! - any limits on that? Bike in bike box and suitcase ok?
Thanks!

Thanks Sara,
See their responses in italic below!
How supported are the rides? I'm guessing no vehicles? I'm wondering about bringing some basic spare bits, but pretty useless at mechanical stuff anyway!
We have a support vehicle and mechanic on the rides with a full tool kit and a selection of basic spares to keep people on the road (tubes, tyres, cables, chains, wheels etc) We also have a spare bike and out of hours access at a local bike shop should anything major go wrong. We charge cost price for any spares that riders keep. We do recommend bringing any spares specific to your bike as these can be hard to source (spokes, mech hangers for example).
And I've just noticed that the bike transfer also says 'luggage' - sounds like a godsend! - any limits on that? Bike in bike box and suitcase ok?
We have the same limits as airlines so a standard sized suitcase no heavier than 20kg is fine. Bike should also be in a box.
If anyone has any questions about these or other points please let me know. There will be a pack from Just Pedal going to everyone that has booked next week and we will also then have a look at what we might want to share between us all. More information to follow very shortly!

Oh... Jst read the above re needed bikes to be in a box. For some reason I had thought we could just drop bikes off/ they could transport as is. Might need to get sourcing a bike box/ bag...

Rahal, the thing about the support van with bits and mechanic sounds *unbelievably* luxurious!

I didn't realise about bike boxes either! Since its a club thing and not easyjet chucking them around, do you think a bag would be sufficient?

Hi Emma,
Bike bags are fine as well.

Not long now, is it? And I've just realised that Lanjaron is a spa town "famed" for it's purified water. James BT are you listening? It'll be like Lourdes all over again. Maybe you can purchase another cheap vial of wondrous water to hang across your handlebars to ensure safe passage.
