Hi all
Could you please let me know whether you are interested in mtb or cyclocross.
i have taken up the reins of drumming up some excitement for all things muddy on two wheels. The aim will be to put on some training, go on social rides and the ultimate goal will be to enter some ladies teams for races - spring/summer mtb and cross, and the the winter CX league which starts around September.
look forward to hearing from you
cheers
Beth 'Mud lover' Hodge

Yes me... I'm really keen... But currently without a mud appropriate bike...
If anyone out there has one that I could borrow or even buy second hand cheaply that would be awesome. I'm a 48cm frame on my road bike so small!
Anyone out grown or know anyone who has outgrown a bike recently? I haven't outgrown anything since I was under 12 so this is a foreign concept to me but I hear it happens!

Cross in particular appeals, but I haven't got anything mud-worthy either.
Realistically I think I'll be sticking with track and road over the summer unless there's an opportunity for occasional rides (potentially on a borrowed bike), which I would be up for. Might have a re-think next winter.

I would also be up for trying cross/mtb out but again have no appropriate bike or experience. But I love mud and I think it would be fun.

Ps I talked to Sophie on a social ride once about it and remember she had done quite a bit of mtb and has a bike.

I'd be keen to try CX and maybe MTB. No suitable bikes though, so would need a hire or loan. Cheers Beth!

I'm working on getting some solid details from BC about getting hold of some club cross bikes. Stand by.

Day out somewhere that hires bikes?? I'm game although less keen on mud until it's warmer due to my circulation issues!

Please see the day out that has been arranged by Dave R and Charlie on March 29- bike hire available! dulwichparagon.proboards.com/thread/8435/trip-swinley-forest-march-29th?page=1&scrollTo=57118 With the recent resurgence in popularity of all things muddy within the club, Charlie Codrington and I thought it would be a great idea to try and organise a few rides, training sessions, adventures etc over the coming months for anyone interested. So first up, March 29th, MTB trip over to Swinley Forest near Bracknell. Swinley is easy to get to from SE London by car, train, or even cycle apparently! It's an excellent area run by the forestry commission with dedicated trails that cater for all abilities. There's also a cafe and they offer bike hire so there's no excuse if you don't have a bike! Plan is to spend the day riding the trails at Swinley as well as venture into Crowthorne Woods next door, regular Gorrick XC race venue, which has some good sections to practice on. There will be an element of coached skills practice included as well. This trip is open to anyone who's interested — youth, men women... even road and track racers! ? Other than the cost of getting there, and bike hire if needed, there's nothing to pay. Simply post up if you're interested. Cheers, D.
