Hi all,
With the velodrome sessions ending and the weather getting... well staying the same... we will look to start these up again soon. Similar format to last year WEDNESDAY EVENINGS, meet at 6pm, running to 8pm, occasional trip to the pub.... Each week there will be one or two people down to 'lead' the session.
Last year we ran these from April- September due to light etc but we will look to start them earlier this year as there seems to be a demand! What we might do however is make these more informal to start to see what numbers are like and then take it from there. My plan is (along with a few others) to put together some training plans for these sessions so the leaders on each week can select a plan and then run that. These will include the drills we have been doing but also include some of the things we did in the race training and also some other things as well. Again we want this to be a space to allow women to learn to ride in a group and build confidence as well as have a work out!
There is also talk about meeting up one weekday morning as we now have light!! There are a few people who are keen to do this so please post on here and twitter and we can take it from there. (And just as a warning... getting up early can cause me to have more chat or be silent... its like a roulette wheel you don't know what you will get!)

I struggle to get to Regent's Park by 6pm so will mostly head to Elmers End on a Wednesday once it's light enough. Will try for RP sometimes though.
A weekday morning might work better, so keen to try that.

Keen for both! Esp the AM session... Friday mornings from 6:30 to 8 sounds promising for a few people! Anyone want to give it a go next week?! Ax

Fridays are good for me- every other week- I have coached S&C stuff on the other Friday and Mondays but it's a good day to bash out some laps before the weekend! So first Friday I can do is Friday 6 March

What about Richmond Park and laps of the Park in the early morning or post work too?
Happy to go there a few times a week too.
