Can someone please post up here to let us know that Javi is ok after his crash tonight? Sending healing vibes your way and hope you're ok! As for my group... That has to be one of the messiest chain gangs I've ever seen; and ya'll took off when my chain dropped apart from Jo! I'll remember that! I'm headed out tonight for a ride; might not be up to joining the current speeds of chaingang but if anyone fancies joining me on a slightly more sedate loop of the circuit let me know, would be nice to have company and I need to stretch my legs. I'm thinking 25/26kph rather than the usual 28/30kph.

I was dropped at 32kph so 28/30 wouldn't be to bad. Your idea of a group that stays together at 25/26kph sounds perfect i would be in when you go as fancy stretching my legs to.

That was last week Leslie after my 100m TT legs were a bit shot.... The group were kind to me and I managed to cling on. Tonight worked very well....ave for the Chaingang was about 29kph and our group of about 8 worked really nicely together all the way round. You're very welcome to join...should be same again next week.

I can echo that having been in the group with Kathryn last night. I came home with a 29kph door-to-door average (including a gentle ride down to the start), which is very fast for me, and a string of Strava PBs, but it was all down to some really good co-operative riding to keep a pace that suited the group rather than feeling like I had flogged myself. And some carefully judged wheel-sucking up Polhill - thanks Tony.

As a newbie to this session I have to admit I was hanging in there for dear life. It felt definitely quicker than the 26-28 kph I was expecting but am pleased to hear that it didn't seem to upset the group too much. Thanks all for being accommodating.

Looking forward to getting back on the chaingang tomorrow! Are we still on the summer route?

Looking forward to getting back on the chaingang tomorrow! Are we still on the summer route? Summer route was still OK last week but if the weather lives up to the current forecast I think the question will be irrelevant. For me anyway. Heavy rain from midday.

Might be the turbo for me tonight if this doesn't clear up... Richard and I will probably reschedule to tomorrow evening if the weather doesn't improve. Everyone welcome.

I'm definitely up for tomorrow evening - though after 3 weeks off the bike (on holiday) you will probably drop me before West Wickham!
