Hello David - forgive me if this is a stupid question (new member), but do the session levels refer to track or road proficiency? I.E. if I've never ridden on the track before should I go for the beginner? Thanks!

Hi Ben - fair question. Really to do with pace and intensity on the road. There will be a short track etiquette 101 before Beginner & Intermediate sessions led by Steve Sorba each week. Advanced sessions are for those racing regularly only.

Is it acceptable to attend two of the sessions; i.e. beginners & intermediate or intermediate & advanced, as long as respectful of the pace of the majority?

A reminder- and info I should have included - is that each session is limited to 50 RIDERS.

@kathryn - "respectful of the pace of the majority" is the key phrase. The reason we brought back the Beginner / Easy sessions was because a fair number of people were either struggling with, not fit enough, or put off by the pace of the Intermediate sessions last year. And to reiterate; the Advanced sessions are for regular racers only.
Very happy to see you there in all 3 categories, mind!

First-come, first-served - the RHQ sign-up is for the first block of sessions, not individual weeks. Ie: you pay your fifteen quid, you can rock up to any appropriate session between Oct 4 and Dec 20.

Is there a chance that the Rider HQ entry list will get increased from 70, but still keeping to the 50 on the night riders ?

Entry limit increased - so places available again.
All names on waiting list will have now received an invitation to enter. Remember this covers Oct 4 - December 20 only.
This doesn't affect the limit on the night, which is strictly 50 riders only.

I've just noticed that we've lost 30mins of our previously allocated time. Would it be worth asking that everyone does their own warm up before arriving at the track? I suspect most people are commuting from work anyway. Some of the 'warm ups' last year lasted a good 30mins and left me (and others) feeling colder than we did arriving there.
