www.londonxleague.co.uk/2017/09/kinesis-londonse-round-4-venue-change/1st of many belts up and down this cheerful valley course, Happy Valley races are a grass crits with loads of swooping corners punctuated by a bit of mucking about at the bottom end - if the weather remains fine for the rest of the week the course will be fast- if it rains, a slog. Either way - worth the visit. Enter on line to be gridded - easily reached by train, but post up if you need a lift.

Last year I thought this was a pretty dull course, but on Sunday the addition of bits of woody single-track and some extra slipperiness made it really good fun. The course designer told me that they were lucky that the council had trimmed back some of the undergrowth which made it possible.
First places for Ed in the juniors and Andy in the V50. 6th for Olivia. Not seen other results but hopefully more good performances.
The sudden shower just before the senior race made it the most entertaining race I've watched as just about everyone came to grief on the rapidly deteriorating, twisty banked turns, egged on by noisy heckling and cheering. Also entertaining watching the kids pouring more water on bends because "nobody's crashed on this bit yet".
