I've now been to the Urban Cycle Club in Clapham a few times, and can highly recommend it. The guys are really nice, it is small and friendly and I really like what they are doing.

In January 2018 we are launching three training camps; Foundation, Performance and Elite. As part of our pre-launch period we are running a four week condensed version of our Performance Camp.
Dates
Weel 1: Week commencing 11th December
Week 2: Week Commencing 18th December
Week 3: Week commencing 1st January
Week 4: Week commencing 8th January
Specific session dates
When you book the Camp you'll buy a pack of four rides (one for each week). You can then go to the schedule and choose the most convenient day and time for each of the four weeks.
Course content
The UCC Performance Camp provides a medium-high intensity programme, with focussed training for both current cyclists, and non-cyclists, with a good level of fitness. This is a course that aims to put you through your paces!
The camp will normally be six weeks but our Christmas Performance Camp has been condensed to four weeks and will cover a variety of interval and endurance training types, that targets development in 5 key areas;
More efficient cardiovascular system (better delivery of oxygen to the muscles)
Strength and conditioning (higher general endurance – particularly over more challenging rides)
Improved speed endurance (faster ‘race pace’ and long-distance average speed)
Increased muscle power (increased sprinting ability and average speed)
Increased turnover of waste products (greater resistance to short-term fatigue, faster recovery, and fewer aches and pains!)
In this training camp UCC aims to track progress more closely, and involve the cyclist in how they are developing through the data we collect. We will send you training reports after every session and if you are interested, talk you through the results, and explain what data is most useful in helping you to see your progression.
