More superb performances on Sunday as cross made a return to Crystal Palace and great to see more newbies getting stuck in too! Well done everyone. However, there's no time to relax as it's our very own race at the world's loveliest castle this Sunday. So plenty of volunteering opportunities to go round this weekend plus another chance to race one of the best courses in the league!
In the meantime, here's this week's happenings;
TUES: Skills session - we're back in CP Park again this Tues for some 'Wall' climbing practice and other useful tips in readiness for Sunday. Meet 7.15pm in the park by Crystal Palace station (gravely patch by the road that leads down to stadium)
THURS: TBC, but probably off-road chaingang again. If so, meet 730pm Elmers End.
SATURDAY: Leeds Castle course setup. All hands on deck to help build the course. Meet 1130am at the course entrance down at Leeds Castle.
SUNDAY: London League Round 3 - Leeds Castle. If you've got this far and still didn't know it's our cross race down at Leeds Castle this coming Sunday then it might be worth a visit to your local opticians! It's fast becoming one of THE races on the cross calendar and this year's edition promises to even better! From the energy sapping uphill drag that is The Joust, the fast and flowing Zip Wire descent to the gruelling grovel that is The Wall, there's something for everyone. Plus we've got a maze, beer tent and marching band on hand too this year! Usualprotocol, online entries via RiderHQ and EOL on the day - remember, if you want to be gridded like a pro you need to pre-enter! So whether you're volunteering, racing, heckling or all of the above, it'll be great to see you all there and helping to make it an even better race than last year!
