I've been asked to pass on this message from Hannah at Action Aid.
I’m contacting Dulwich Paragon about the UK’s largest cycling event, Prudential RideLondon. I can see from your website, that your members clearly have a passion for cycling and a challenge, and RideLondon is just that! Additionally, you’re clearly passionate about empowering women through sport, which is great! In the light of International Women’s Day, it would be great if you’d be up for the challenge and consider cycling it in aid of ActionAid! You will be helping to end violence against young women and girls, helping them to understand their rights and ensure they have access to the education they need to create the future they want.
ActionAid has a limited number of charity places in the event, and we would love to have you on our team – you could even get a group together and challenge one another.
Why should you join the ActionAid team?
1. By cycling with ActionAid, you’ll be changing the lives of women and girls living in poverty.
2. You’ll have a dedicated staff member (me!) to support you every step of the way. I will be in regular contact, to offer fundraising ideas, tips and resources to help you meet (possibly even beat!) your fundraising goal.
3. Set yourself a new personal challenge and embrace the opportunity to cycle through London on closed roads.
I’ve attached a poster with a bit more information about the event and how to get involved. I would really appreciate it if you could share this with your networks and anyone you think may be interested in taking part.
If someone would like to register for a charity place please direct them to our website here. Alternatively, if they have a ballot place but would like to join our team, click here.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me on 020 3122 0747 – I’m more than happy to help.
Thank you so much and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Happy International Women’s Day!
Best wishes,
Hannah
