Certainly agree with the advice to "go to a MAJOR A&E" department. And not at a weekend. Vital to get x-rays reviewed by orthopaedic specialists.
When I broke mine a few years ago, a&e (on a Sunday) looked at x-rays, good me it was a simple fracture, put me in a sling. I paid to see a private shoulder specialist 2 days later, who showed me how it had broken into 4 pieces.
So if you do want to go private, I'd recommend Mr Mark Jeffery. NHS Lewisham, various private hospitals such as Blackheath.

Thanks George.
Having just flown back to London, we went to A&E at St Mary's (Paddington) on Saturday evening... and had a similar experience to you. So we met with an orthopaedic specialist (Mr Caesar) at the Lister on Tuesday and Jayne had the op (plate fixed) yesterday afternoon. She's hoping to be racing again in 6-8 weeks.
