Hi all. I'm after decent interval training roads between ED and the City/Canary Wharf so that I can incorporate sweet spot intervals into commutes. Regents Park is a little out of the way so something in the SE/E part of town would be good. Ideally long, relatively straight and quieter roads - I know that's a lot to ask in rush hour London.
I've been trying laps of the Isle of Dogs which is a little hit and miss.
Anyone know of anywhere else I can try?

Hi Simon- tricky! Only suggestion I’d have is to find some hills. In mornings the Greenwich Park main hill is ok uphill (though busy with cars downhill). In winter when the park is closed in evenings, Hyde Vale is reasonably quiet uphill for intervals (not that I’ve ever done on my commute!)

Thanks Tim - I'm often to be found grinding up Crooms for some Vo2 work, but curious to see if there are any relatively quiet and longer roads around for some threshold sessions. I've done the Isle of Dogs loop a few times which is okay-ish when the roads are quieter, however the max interval time I can hope for on a good day is only about 6 mins.
I might try going up Belmont hill between Lewisham and Blackheath...it's a long hill with a slight gradient so perhaps i can stay in z4 with the granny cog. Will report back.
