Hi all,
Nic Roberts - formerly of this club, also known as Velophysio - has asked me to share the following. I'm definitely going to check out the taster session on Wednesday!
Velophysio cycling conditioning classes
Remote Core conditioning classes for cyclists are now available online via zoom. 6 people max per class to a class to allow correction for exercises. Join a class with your friends or team mates. Classes are booked in a series of 7 in order to allow progression at less than £9 per class payable in advance.
These classes are tailored to cyclists but also focus on important spinal mobility, flexibility and strength which is key since the lock down and the increased time spent working from home.
For the class you will need some space to move around free from noise - an exercise mat is preferable. A connection via tablet, phone or lap top.
Classes will be running:
Mondays 8am - FULL
and 10am
Wednesday 7pm.
Thursday 8am - FULL
Friday 8am and 1pm
Sunday 5pm
Free taster class next Wednesday 8th April at 7pm.
If you have any questions or would like to book in please email or call Nichola on nic@velophysio.co.uk 07787545861
Classes can also be tailored if you have an existing injury.
Testimonial:
(pre COVID -19)
"Whether you are a keen amateur racer or just a mid-life cyclist who loves riding bikes but probably spends too much time sitting behind a desk Velophysio’s conditioning classes for cyclists are a fun but tough way to strengthen your core, improve your flexibility, and give you an off-bike/turbo workout. Using the best bits from Pilates, Yoga and the Spanish Inquisition, the classes are specifically designed for cyclists and will improve your stability both on the bike and off it, as well as straightening out the kinks we all have and improving your position and posture (again, both on and off the bike). The classes are fairly small, which means you get pretty much personal attention and focus from Nichola who, with a deft touch here and there, will gently correct posture to ensure you are getting the full benefit of each exercise – although it does mean there is nowhere to hide. Everyone is a cyclist, including Nichola, so you know you are going to get on as you all have something in common, and the classes are welcoming, friendly and unintimidating even if you have never done anything like it before. Nichola’s knowledge, experience and easy manner inspire confidence and each class is stamped with her gentle, kindly but tough manner"
