Passing on this from email:
Bicycle Film Festival is coming back to London (virtually) now through December 30. Hosted by London Cycling Campaign.
This year is our 20th anniversary. We are going virtual.
BFF London presents an international selection of short films. The short film program will appeal to a wide audience from film connoisseurs to avid cyclists and everything in between.
How does the virtual Bicycle Film Festival work? A ticket available allows you to view the 90-minute short film format any time now through Sunday, December 30th at 11:59PM streamed to your computer, tablet, or smart TV by simply clicking on the link provided by email after you purchase. Ticket prices are "sliding scale" so all ticket prices entitle you to the same content. You may view BFF in one sitting, or as you will, from the comfort and safety of your home.
This BFF curated collection of short films features: a charismatic Ghanian immigrant in Amsterdam who teaches refugee adult women to ride bikes – a birds-eye view of a BLM bicycle protest ride from New York to DC – the struggle of a young woman and her bike in Iran – a legend in cycling breaking barriers for women’s cycling - and more.
Thank you to LCC for hosting. And thank you to the London for your support and keeping BFF alive. London hosted our first festival outside of the United States in 2004. Vexed Generation and Central Saint Martins co-produced the first few years in London. After that, our home moved to the Barbican Centre for almost a decade. We are grateful to the many friends, filmmakers, artists, sponsors, volunteers and attendees that have built the BFF over the years.
We hope to offer some respite for you and your friends during this time.
