To respond re the Dulwich LTN l think you would have needed to register some weeks ago. I did register and l live in the LTN. Personally l really sympathise with the residents on East Dulwich Grove who now find themselves living with massively increased air pollution outside their houses. So l think it is time to reopen Calton Avenue. The whole LTN project has been very devisive sadly.

I also sympathise but a) can we be sure the increased pollution is due to road closures and b) how else are we going to reduce traffic - congestion seems to be the only thing that puts people off driving!!

Thanks Jane. NB - the consultation offers the opportunity to give a view on the proposition "I would like my street to have changes like the ones in the trial areas", which might be of use for anyone in a bit of Southwark outside said areas.

From LCC / Southwark Cyclists: What does the research on LTNs show? This month’s Better Streets Talk will be with Dr. Anthony Laverty, public health scientist at Imperial College London and co-author of the recent reports on the impacts of LTNs on crime, fire service response times and injuries. This talk will look at the scientific evaluation behind low traffic neighbourhoods. As always there'll be an opportunity to ask questions too, so if you've got any burning questions about the impact of LTNs, this is an opportunity to ask them! The talk is next Wednesday 23 June at 7:30pm. Register here.

I also sympathise, but I can’t but help there is a bit of NIMBYism with the approach by some of the locals to the LTNS. They are a step in the right direction.
