I'm no expert on pubs around there, but maybe the George on Borough High St. It's in a big courtyard off the main road. Lots of history to it - London's last galleried inn, owned by the National Trust, mentioned by Dickens.

The woolpack is a nice Bermondsey pub with a garden out the back. Is always packed after work but we may be able to reserve an area in the garden. The Horseshoe inn is also an option...tucked behind the vinegar yard just off snowfields. It also has a terrace area we could book up top or some space outside. That'd be less busy as well i would think.
