In order that we can gauge what type of numbers and what type of items should form part of our first order with Sportful for the new club kit we would like to run an online poll. It would be appreciated if people could use this as a genuine reflection of what they would like and what they are prepared to pay for so that we can produce an accurate order. So in this way it is not a wishlist without consequence – watch out Bob may collar you to pay for all the stuff you claimed to want!
As I understand, it is intended to place two orders a year, ie one at the start and one in the middle, although this may change as required (Bob may correct me on this!). So we will be looking to place an order in January and manufacture will take approx 6 – 8 weeks, although this could be longer depending on their current order book. So you should be looking to receive new kit around March / April. Unless there is overwhelming demand it would not be anticipated to place another order until the summer / autumn.
Many thanks
James

It doesn't seem possible to vote for more than one item, ie shorts and jersey. Would it be easier for us just to email our requirements?

Can I place an order for a long sleeved time trial suit with a small rear pocket for the e.p.o ? The Rudy Project kicks off in march so delivery before then?

I'm still waiting for the proofs back from Sportful. I've sent two emails chasing it this week but still nothing which is obviously annoying.
I'll phone him Monday. I also need to go through the order no's with Bob following everyone's response to decide what we can afford to order.

Just to update you all.
I understand Theo and Piers have finished all the artwork (including flashy new logos) and that this has gone to Sportfull - thanks for that guys, I realise that it's hard to fit these things inon top of work committments.
I've been promised a price proposals by the end of today so I should be able to chat to Bob about that over the weekend.
Aparantly Sportfull are processing orders fairly quickly at the moment so if we can get our order in sharpish it should be good. - Currently approx. 5 weeks for delivery.

Will we get to see proofs / made up samples before the order is placed? I mention this only because in casual conversation with somebody at Dauphin Sport who use Sportful a lot the quality especially of their shorts depending on the cut can be variable. Don't want to end up with a job lot of shorts with crinkly elastic bottoms.

we discussed the particular short type with them at our last meeting. They brought samples along and we agreed to go for their best cut and insert. They do several different types of shorts each with a different cut and a choice of different inserts. The model we are going for was based on the cut of Assoss's F1 short I believe.
The general view seemed to be that poeple were very happy with the quality of what they were proposing. Maybe Bob, Theo, Piers etc can back me up on that!

Yes, it was all definitely all good stuff. I think the thing that James, Piers and Theo are battling with is to get a bit more responsiveness from Sportful. I think this is a common problem for smaller clubs, where big manufacturers prioritise professional outfits and commercial orders ahead of us...

Latest news from Theo regarding the kit:
"Sportful are promising proofs by the weekend. This will be with the Italian Olympic blue - they've now slightly changed their tune to say this is the only light blue they can do (rather than that being their recommended choice as previously). Assuming we give that the go ahead they will go to production immediately. We'll get a clear timetable from them when we get to that stage."
