Excuse the email nature sent round from a friend of a friend.
Hi everyone,
Please excuse the group email but I just wanted to let you all know about our exciting plans for the summers. In order to get the news to as many people as possible we are letting all our friends know about it first. We have published a very simple website that contains more information www.bikelogistics.co.uk . Even if you are not interested in cycling or mountain holidays yourselves, you may know someone who is and could possibly give them a gentle nudge in our direction simply by forwarding this email
.
What we do
The new venture is called Bike Logistics and will operate in the French Alps. We are based on the doorstep of so many famous climbs such as the Madeleine, the Col de l’Iseran, the Cormet de Roseland, the Petit St Bernard, the Côtes des Arcs and La Plagne, the Croix de Fer, the Telegraphe, the Galibier, the Tamié, the Forclaz and we are even within reach of the Alpe itself (l’Alpe d’Huez). You will get the chance to pedal the same routes as the tour; stunning climbs, long winding descents and a cold beer at the end – what could be better? We also offer trips to the Pyrenees to tackle some of the monsters of this fantastic Southern range.
Our mission is to offer support to groups who want to make the most of their time in this fantastic environment. We offer every type of support you can think of from the moment you step off the plane. We can provide airport transfers, accommodation, route guiding and trip support, route planning, training advice, massage and recuperation and anything else that suits your needs.
If you are part of a group of people or know of a group of people maybe from work, who might be interested, then we can tailor a trip to your requirements. Get in touch.
If you would like your trip to have a firm focus, then we suggest you choose to take part in an organised “race”. These events are to be taken as seriously or as relaxed as you want but they provide a great goal for the end of the week. Famous events include the “Marmotte” and the “Madeleine” but there are lots of other events throughout the summer. We can organise the entry and get you there and away as part of your trip. For next year we hope to be able to offer packages to cycle the “etape”, which is the only way to cycle a stage of the Tour de France in race conditions on closed roads. Awesome.
Corporate Groups
If you think that your business might be interested in getting a group together, then there are some valuable additions we can add to the package. We have a team of professionals who can provide training and facilitation in lots of different areas. So trips can be tailored to incorporate activities that may happen on or off the bikes:
Communication Skills, Leadership Training, Psychological Training, Profiling, Personal Development, Life Coaching ….
More stuff…
For those not wanting to cycle the whole time then the area is perfect for all sorts of sports from simple walking to climbing, rafting and canyoning. In fact, we have already arranged an adrenaline packed stag weekend for a group. The Tarentaise Valley has everything you could possibly need for this type of trip.
Who are we?
Out team is made up of Giles Lewis, Paul Garner and our wives Alex and Kate. In the winter we run a successful ski coaching centre in Val d’Isère called the development centre and are top qualified ski coaches. We hold several generic national coaching qualifications and are qualified mountain bike leaders. We are currently taking a specific road bike coaching course with the Association of British Cycling Coaches.
