Many thanks to all the marshals, Comms and especially Bob for keeping the best race in London alive. Yesterday was a massive turnout and felt like Palace at it's best.

Brilliant organisation and a great "feel" to the night from the get go in Cadence to track side. Regardless of individual results you have to love Tuesday nights at Palace.
Just one question - where were the Dulwich Ladies?

It all seemed to go pretty smoothly from backstage, too. One or two (minor) lessons learned for next week and beyond, but the mood at Cadence was great, all those who turned up looking for an EOL got one, Frank Beechinor was beaming with the 100+ bodies in the building and the weather was fantastic. Reports from front of house via Andy P were positive - plenty of marshals, good racing, no accidents - and Bob oversaw the whole thing with his usual unflappable grace and humour. Thanks to EVERYONE who helped, raced and spectated. Hat to DP Andy Brown for a great result - and winning a LMNH pie prime! Here's to a fecking wonderful CPCrits season...

To answer the question 'where were the Dulwich ladies?', Charly did the Bedford 3 days at the weekend and Nic and I did the millbrook classic on Monday, so we all decided for a rest day 😉. I aim to be there next week, if I survive I might be there for the rest of the series 😜.

Congrats on your win Lexie, awesome to watch you race particularly after you rocked the Bedford 3day. Such a great evening! I was marshalling this week, will be on the start line next.

It was a pleasure and privilege to marshal last night (apart from when a dog ran across the track just before a bunch hit the bottom corner and I had to decide whether going after it would do more harm than good) The senior and women's racing was superb but seeing that number of kids having a great time was really encouraging for the future. I didn't realise that Jo Rowsell was racing - how does that work in categorisation, was she racing against the rest of the women and coming nowhere?

Just to echo the thanks to all who have helped get palace back on track, absolutely love racing here in the summer and it made it all the sweeter to get a win for DP on the inaugural night. Might have to have the pie for lunch today! Many congrats to Lexie on her win too, you earned the right to have your burger just as you like...

+1 AndyB and another belated congrats on your win. I thought you just won a pie. To make sure the winners get just praise on the night they should get the first round in. We'd all know then And thanks to all those who put in many hours planning and organising to get this year's palace off to a very successful start. Great profile for the club. Liked the Cadence sign-on/off. There was a good buzz about the place. My turn to help out next week but down to ride #3 and can't wait.

In answer to Joe - Jo Rowsell was in training mode and raced with the 3/4 men on this occasion. She wouldn't have been eligible for points if she contended - she'd need to race the E1234 Womens race or the E12 mens.

Thanks very much to all the marshals and helpers. Me and my son Alex had a fun eve. Alex came 4th in his race i think (AG 11/12). Anyone know if the full results are up anywhere? Congrats to Andy and Lexie on your wins!

It be would remiss of me not to also place on record my appreciation and gratitude to all that were involved in the relaunch of the series. I raced in France 2 days before but despite the universally agreed feeling that racing in France is just about as good as it gets; I have to say getting back down to Palace gave me far more pleasure! The operation seemed to run like clock work and every single person had a smile on their face throughout.
Thank goodness Palace is back.
I look forward to contributing on 18th June.
