Columbian Pace refers to the small group of Columbian guys who often ride from Crystal Palace on Sunday. They love a burn up, although they are not usually the fastest riders. Regardless, they will force the pace early, and after they have themselves been burnt up they usually turn off and ride on their own.
They used to be really… really good about 10 years ago when one of them was the Columbian national champion. You can easily spot them as they wear only the very best kit and ride immaculate £3K+ bikes.

Oh... I thought it had to do with the fast guys riding as if they had sprinkled columbian marching powder in their bottles. ...and thought it quite humerous. Silly me.
