So sorry to rant, please excuse the blatant self pity. Just feeling the need to vent so I'm not going about the day with very hangdog face. Frustrated with myself for being in the wrong place at palace too often this year despite mostly being 2nd or 3rd wheel. Last night exactly 2.34 seconds before i was going to attempt an attack, a rider decided he was bored of riding his bicycle and made a very successful elbow surf down the grass hill below dead mans corner. Being right behind the dear fellow i was forced to follow him like a very keen spectator. Managed to fly down below him and back up again and was pleased to be nudging my way back up into the group when my wheel started going bump bump then bang. Approached two Dynamo marshals to beg a back wheel. But you know what those dynamo boys are like, they both had 11 speed campag for my shimano 10. 4th person to crash out badly in fromt of me at highly critical moment this year. I know this is probably not unusual but i just needed to express. Anyway at least i survived being behind the surfing crash. so all great really. whoopee!

I think you've every right to feel aggrieved. You had a good position and looked super comfy. Motivation for next week!

Feeling a bit heavy as i was up all last night eating and drinking the saturated yellow stuff. Suppose you can't have too much of it though.

Feel like I'm repeating myself.

... and Campag 11 fits Shimano 10 like a glove. You should have taken the wheel.
