Sara Barman I think it is really important that more confident riders DO come to beginner sessions. Several stronger riders turned up to today's session just to help out, set a steady pace where required and generally be a calming influence when things became a bit erratic and unpredictable. Fair enough though, there were a hell of a lot of people on the track at the same time, so everyone turning up to every session does present some issues.

Great to see so many riders out there last night even if we were a bit overwhelmed. Next week I will introduce at least one extra biro into the equation thus cutting down signing on time by 50%. Marginal gains. Thanks to the stronger riders who turned up to help out and all the riders for making it an enjoyable and safe session despite the numbers. Next up will be an 'intermediate' session so all riders who have been before are welcome. There will always be a 'slower' group riding on these evenings so don't be put off. See you next week.

Gutted to have missed it. New work commitments. Given numbers last night will the next beginner sesh have the same attendance? Guess it could be rainy season by then?

Next beginner session is this coming Wednesday (11th November).
No rain forecast at this stage, and still looking like it will be unseasonably warm.

Great- it will be my first session. Do we need to get there early if we're new?

Good session tonight - tight, tidy, safe, and a great workout.
Well done all!

Thanks to everyone involved in making this series of training happen again this winter. It has been excellent and last night was a great conclusion with Charlie's brave but successful introduction of the "ride in as undisciplined and aggressive way as you can" exercise, the no-handed laps at the top of the track, and not one but two marymore crawls. Particular thanks to Charlie for his regular trackside coaching, Patrick for his session(s) and Steve for the sage on-track guidance and advice, but I know others also helped a lot with pacing, guidance etc.
