Congratulations to Abi on her signing for the pro team Drop Cycling, she’ll be riding, training and racing with them this year - well deserved and well done Abi, I know you’ll have a fantastic year, enjoy it to the full.
There is a U tube snippet to watch on the team, unfortunately being so old I couldn’t find it - if someone does can you send me the link.
Saturday 20th February - Youth and Junior Road Rides
2 rides this Saturday:
Juniors - road ride approx 50 miles at a steady pace, start at the velodrome at 9.30
Youths - Bill will be leading an off road ride, suitable for both MTB and Cross bikes, leaving the velodrome at 9.30 am.
Rides will be on the road or part on road so normal pack drill:
Helmets must be worn
BC HHYCC and/or DP Membership required
Bring spare inner tubes that fit your bike
Wear suitable clothing for the weather
Money for emergency buns
Food and water
The name and telephone number of an adult who can rescue you on a PIECE OF PAPER in your back pocket.
Parents and Guardians - please the contactable and available to rescue your charge should the need arise.
Thursday evening BC Cluster sessions
These sessions run by BC continue and are suitable for all youth A and B riders and come highly recommended if you want to race this year. Meet at the velodrome at 7.15 for a 7.30 start. Remember to bring a completed parental consent form (download from the youth section on the Dulwich Forum) and the £3 levy.
Wednesday Evenings from March onwards
There is one remaining Dulwich velodrome based Chaingang session after which I’ll be leading a Junior Chain Chain following the traditional Chain route from Elmers End to Hog Hill and back- more details to follow.
Energy Gels and Drink
On the back of Abi’s success and change in her sponsor,, I have been given an amount of gels and energy drinks to distribute among those of you who are currently racing.
Let me know if you would like some.
