Major changes are occurring - please read and absorb the following information:
Personnel:
As of today CHARLIE CODRINGTON takes over as Kit Secretary. Please use kitsecretary@dulwichparagon.com if you need to contact him. The club would like to officially thank Charles Batho for all his hard work and perserverance during what was an extremely challenging period.
The old system:
For some time all club kit has been stored at club-member Ray Vella's premises, and individual orders physically transported by him to Cadence. An enormous and somewhat thankless task which Ray will no longer be able to undertake - and again, the club thanks him for all his hard work, and for allowing the club to store kit gratis. We would also like to to thank the team at Cadence for allowing us to use the premises as a collection point.
The new system:
With more than 660 members and a turnover of many thousands of pounds it has become obvious that we need to modernise the way you purchase and receive your kit. From next week all club kit (including podium wear and skinsuits) will be held in a commercial warehouse from where orders will be fulfilled and delivered directly to you. You should receive orders within 2 working days to whichever address you choose when you place your order.
Ordering:
You will continue to order via the Kit Shop on Rider HQ - however, you will now be able to specify a delivery address (eg: your work)
The price:
The club has always sold kit at cost + VAT to members - and will continue to do so - but the new system will incur a charge of £7.50 per order to cover storage, management, picking, packing and 1st class postage. Obviously, it will make sense to buy muitliple items.
The interim:
Any orders placed between now and midnight tomorrow Friday July 22nd will be available at Cadence in the normal way. Any orders placed on Saturday July 23rd onwards will be posted to you. The kit will be physically transferred to the warehouse next Tuesday July 26th, so the earilest delivery would be Thursday July 28th. After that, all orders should arrive within 2 working days.
The future:
For the time being our kit will continue to be manufactured by Giordana. We will be reducing some of the lines we carry that simply don't sell (eg: winter gloves) as each item will incur a bin-space charge at the warehouse. Keep an eye out for further information in the near future.
Orders currently awaiting collection / size samples:
We have agreed with Cadence a cut-off point of September 30th. If you haven't collected current orders by then outstanding items will be put back into stock. You will not be refunded. We are hopeful that we can continue the arrangement whereby members can try out kit for size, however - in line with online ordering practice - we will be able to deal with returns and refunds. Details in the FAQs below.
Finally:
This is a NEW system! And there are bound to be some teething problems, so please be patient and give us a fair chance to make this work. It will be to YOUR benefit.
