I'm off to a weekend in Majorca this Friday and I have plans to sneak off and get some training in. We're staying near Palma.
Does anyone have any recommendations for bike hire and a local guide (private or group)?
Living like a monk for hill climb season is not very compatible with a friends 40th birthday weekend in Majorca --> wish me luck.
Thanks

If you're near Palma, the ride from Andraxt, up Puigpunyent via Galilea and Es Capdilla is fantastic. You can loop back around the coast to Banyalbufar (coast road is stunning) or head back inland to get to Palma. The loop is about 70km if starting and finishing in Andratx.

Where about are you staying? I can advise bike hire in Peguera, that's less than 30mins from palma.
Ditto David E's ride recommendation

Thanks both - Google maps tells me I am an 11 mins drive from Peguera so that could work.

Go to this place: Rad International Carrer des Capdellà, 25, 07160 Peguera, Islas Baleares, Spain +34 971 68 77 09 g.co/kgs/jJV8cpThey have cubes and canyons with Di2. The other one is ride mallorca, which I've used, good bikes too but not well maintained.

Try Mallorca Cycle Shuttle, great at picking you up and taking to a drop-off point from which you can cycle back. Sa Calobra and Puerto Pollenca will be be doable.

Thanks for all the replies on this one - I had a great day out on a Canyon from Rad Intl. It was a weekend with some party loving friends which isn't ideal for my hill climb focused monk like living. I managed to sneak off early in the morning and get back at 2pm to still find people eating breakfast.
It's my second time in Majorca but my first time staying at this end of the island (near Peguera). The riding was beautiful and the roads away from the coast v v quiet. I really liked some of the older towns up in the hills and would recommend for a long weekend.
