So, having just moved to Sevenoaks, I thought I would try and pick some DP brains if anyone has any insights: 1 - Any idea of the best local club to ride with? There doesn't seem to be any specifically based there but a few that ride in the general area (and yes, no need to mention DP!) Anyone got any specific recommendations? (Avanti seems the most likely although Catford and Bigfoot might be options - the other plan is to find a local bike shop and ask thereā¦) 2 - I am planning on doing some commuting to central London so was wondering a) if anyone else commutes in from a similar area and might like to join up and b) if there are any other clubs running mid-week chaingangs that I could possibly catch a lift with on the way home a la DP Wed nights?
cheers Elwyn

There's a bunch of nice people, of all ages and abilities with GS Avanti, Sydenham Wheelers (Have meetups in Sevenoaks) and Sevenoak s Tri. (Don't let Tri put you off, you can just a ride bike). Not quite sure it's far enough away though to let Paragon membership slide ;-)

Having worked in and commuted to Sevenoaks for nearly 15 years I'm not aware of any local clubs bar GS Avanti who are more Orpington centric than TN13. I'd agree with David Emery - I can't see there is any advantage in leaving DP to join Sydenham.

Thanks David, Nigel for the comments. I went out with Sevenoaks tri club yesterday so will see how that works out. Needless to say, I will not be revoking my DP membership just yet!

You might want to check out Southborough & District wheelers, they have quite a presence near Sevenoaks, I'm constantly bumping into them in MTB races all across the South East.
