I've just moved to London from Los Angeles and I'm looking to rent a room, preferably on the West side of London, from someone who also rides.
I work in the City, so somewhere not too far west is ideal. I'm thinking somewhere along the lines of Hyde Park and areas south like South Kensington, Earl's Court, Brompton, Parsons Green, Fulham and Hammersmith. South of the river in Clapham is good too, but that might be a bit too far for work. I'm open to options and suggestions. But I understand near Richmond Park is ideal for riding so a close proximity to that is good. Right?
I'm available to move in Sept. 1 or in the first few weeks of Sept. I'm a professional, single, 33-year old guy, who works as a financial reporter. I'm considerate and open-minded. I prefer to ride rather than hit the pubs. But socializing is always good too.

Come and live South East - maybe Brixton, Herne Hill or East Dulwich (Nunhead's good, too). The City's just over the river, Kent is on your doorstep and it's where the DP are. All those other places are overpriced, and riding in Richmond Park gets boring very quickly.

Hi Alex, I agree with Sean, West London is overpriced and overrated, also if you are working in the city you'll have to ride through the whole London and back everyday. SE London has the countryside on your doorstep with some great areas that are affordable. Unfortunatly I don't have a flat to rent though. S

Thanks Sean. Do you know of any flat shares in the areas you mentioned? Alex

Scott and Alex are dead right - and Clapham is close to The City but not so close that it doesn't make reasonable commute. Perfect! Plus, the DP rides cover all the bases. Can't help you with the flat, though, sorry, but I'll ask around...

Can't help you with the flat, though, sorry, but I'll ask around, my heighbour may have something for 6 months with a 'fittest fireman' endurance rider. I'll ask...
