Hi all,
Obviously the most important question you all have right now - where will be meet after Ride London now it’s a new location.
The riders are directed over Tower Bridge and down Tooley Street towards London Bridge.
Any pub suggestions that might have space for piles of bikes!
I know a few around Waterloo way but not sure if that’s too far?
Happy to do a recce if needed!

I'm no expert on pubs around there, but maybe the George on Borough High St. It's in a big courtyard off the main road. Lots of history to it - London's last galleried inn, owned by the National Trust, mentioned by Dickens. www.nationaltrust.org.uk/george-inn

The George is great - but gets rammed, esp as it's so close to Borough Market. Probably better to dig around Bermondsey area? I'll have a recce... no need to thank me.

I went to The Miller just south of Guys the other day. It’s a bit south so quieter and handily has a covered heated terrace. Bit of a studenty vibe?

Miller would be a good choice....i could even let people into our secure bike store across the road from there!

Agree that the George will be totally packed.

The woolpack is a nice Bermondsey pub with a garden out the back. Is always packed after work but we may be able to reserve an area in the garden. The Horseshoe inn is also an option...tucked behind the vinegar yard just off snowfields. It also has a terrace area we could book up top or some space outside. That'd be less busy as well i would think.

How about The Gregorian on the corner of Jamaica Road / St James's Road? Huge area out front with lots of tables and plenty of space for bikes? 1 km from Tower Bridge: ridewithgps.com/routes/39182994

There's also "The Roebuck" which is just on the old kent road/borough border. Nice pub, loads of outside sitting and space for bikes www.theroebuck.net/

So when’s the pre-event pub crawl? I doubt Libby will want to leave anything to chance now!

And so it’s been decided, we shall go to the Horseshoe Inn - there are tables outside and we can have bikes next to us!
See you all there!
