By the time we got back to the top of Crystal Palace there were only three of us left! i was thoroughly enjoying myself but got involved in the crash because THAT pothole on the way back down from badger's mount. Cyclying down there in the pitch black at 27mph + huge pothole = big puncture. It was impossible to see was feeling really strong too, gutted. bloody power cut

So not a proper chain gang at all..... more of a burn up really.

So not a proper chain gang at all..... more of a burn up really. Aren't they the same thing? For the average speed freaks, I made the average speed from Elmer's End back to Bromley 22mph.

Hey Peejay, not sure how you've become such an expert, when was the last time you did a chaingang? and I'm not talking about Wednesday's one. Funny how the only experts are the guys that weren't even there!

You mean there was a crash and people didn't wait?

Not so much a crash, but a pinch puncture and a dropped bottle from the potholes just after Badger's Mount. I may be wrong but I certainly didn't hear a crash. It was hard to see the holes as there was a power cut and no street lights that night.

In 'The Sporting Roadman' of old, "..... make a break from the pack when there is a bit of a kerfuffle going on behind and riders are watching their wheels". Thought someone applied that one in the Perfs recently. ¬¬¬
