... I kid you not. Read on...
Hi,
I was wondering whether you would be able to share this event with your members as they may be interested in participating in this exciting cycle challenge in Bangladesh! There is a talk about it on next Wednesday 17th which people may like to attend! I am a member of the Serpentine running club and may soon become a member of the Paragon cycle club too as I live close by. I can provide further information. Here are the details!
Hello!
I have an exciting event to announce which is taking place next week, Wednesday 17th October at the Victory Pub (4 Brendan Street, W1H5HE) at 8-9pm.
There will be a talk about a Tiger conservation project in Bangladesh and a Wild Rickshaw Challenge. The idea is to raise funds for the project by cycling across Bangladesh!
WildTeam head of strategic partnerships, Henry Churchill, will be in London on the 17th October to give a presentation on his work with tigers in Bangladesh, and the Wild Rickshaw Challenge. Henry personally cycled close to 1000km to identify the route in the country, and will show you a video of his arduous and adventurous journey, and answer any questions you may have at the event including ways of reaching the fundraising target and training for the journey. He'll also introduce you to the fascinating world of tiger conservation and ensure you know the importance behind fundraising for tigers.
Below is some more information about the project and the Rickshaw challenge. Come along to find out more and meet someone who has been working in the project. Two of my friends developed the project in Bangladesh.
About the project
WildTeam is a Bangladesh-based conservation group that is doing things differently. Their main team is the TigerTeam, which is focused on creating a sustainable future for the Royal Bengal Tiger. They are part of WildTeam and are two years into a five year strategy to change the game for tigers in Bangladesh.
About the Wild Rickshaw Challenge
The Wild Rickshaw Challenge is a fundraising event in February 2013, aimed at raising significant money and awareness for the plight of the Royal Bengal Tiger in Bangladesh. WildTeam is looking for tiger heros to cycle on a 3 wheeled cycle rickshaw 400kms through the heart of Bangladesh. Each participant will raise £2,500 per person through their own fundraising efforts, and all profits from the event will go to giving tigers a future. For more information see: www.wildrickshawchallenge.org
Why you should come to the event in London
The event suits people that are looking for a unique and once in a lifetime opportunity challenge holiday; people who love challenges and adventure; iron men and ladies, triathletes, cyclists and other athletes that want to link this event into their training; people who are fascinated to travel to an off the beaten country like Bangladesh; people who love tigers; or all of the above.
I look forward to seeing you there :-)
