Maybe a feed station at the top of Poll Hill? Burger Van perhaps?

Despite this glorious May weather, was considering the chain gang this evening - does anyone have a GPX plan of the route - for back up purposes only Thanks Adam

We had a great ride tonight until we got to Bromley common. I can confirm riding over a brick is not a good choice. Thanks to Alex an Paul and everyone else who stopped to help me out. The lovely people at Princess Royal tell me I broke my clavicle so a few enforced weeks off the bike. Still, could have been worse!

Will I be okay without lights tonight? I don't know where mine are let alone whether they're charged.

Sit in until Polhill then try and sprint the last 600m.
That's what everyone else does, right?

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for my first chaingang last night. Had a blast, despite getting dropped once!

It was my first time out for the chaingang last night and I really enjoyed it.
I've not been around to make it so far this year, but I will definitely be trying to get out regularly from now on.
Thanks all!

Quick comments on tonight's slow group chaingang:
Going through Pilgrim's Way was sketchy as hell, it was so dark I could barely see the road, as could anyone else. It's probably time to switch to the winter route.
The group I was in worked really well, with the exception of one guy who I don't think quite "gets it", so to recap:
The chain gang is about working as a team, so to make the chain gang effective it needs all its riders to make smooth transitions throughout - sprinting to the front does not increase the group's coherence, if somebody on the overtaking line who is 4 riders in front of you is not doing it fast enough for your liking, going three abreast to try and get to the front and once again break the rhythm of the group does not increase the group's coherence.
If the ride is not fast enough for you, then don't turn up to the "Women's" Wednesday chaingang and choose the slow group. These groups are for people who want to increase both their fitness and experience of riding in a group.

Ollie and Alex made the executive decision to take the middle group on the winter route. Due to the murk this evening it was deffo a good move. You can still have your legs ripped off up Pol Hill! Mostly we were well behaved, thanks guys!

I grabbed him and pulled him back when he tried to go three abreast on the return from Pohill, and quite sternly told him it wasn't appropriate, but didn't get a chance to speak to him on the way back as the whole group disappeared off to Crystal Palace without stopping by Bromley. Youth may have had something to do with it
