Have you all seen the post about club turbo sessions posted just above this thread on the 'training' tab?
Go to forum - training - more turbo sessions - it has all the info there. Starting in Oct.
Im going to sign up, DJB says he needs 13 people signed up to be able to run them.
Turbos are the metal stand things that turn your road bike into an exercise bike, Ive not been to the sessions before, but I heard they are really good for building your fitness and speed. Like a spin class, you are all peddling away together. This one is run by real cyclists though, not a aerobics guy in the gym... Have a look (-:

Three other things,
Racing training - also in 'training' (under the thread about the turbo sessions ) Charley has a post about racing training she has organised with coach Huw Williams. Its on Sat 30th Aug. Ive done this, im signed up to this one,its brilliant, look at the thread to find out more.
Dulwich worlds - this is a fun, club only race with a race for novice women - I did it last year. The thread is in club events and volunteering - Dulwich worlds 2014. Im going! Its on Sat 20th Sept
Talking of two coming along at once..for anyone who has been going to Mule bar girls or done track sessions, there is also velojam on the same day!! Im going to try to do both (I know Charley is going to do both)This also has a novice race, and its a women only event.
Velojam is at Hearne hill velodrome, and looks like it will be in the evening. Charley is going to put a post up about it!

A special session tomorrow as we have Patrick joining us to give us some tips and ideas for our training. Patrick is a club member who has been training to be a British Cycling coach...he came along last year and was a great session. Hope to see some of the regulars and any new ladies who fancy joining us tomorrow. Details in the calendar on the main website.

I don't think I'll be able to join you tonight as another spoke broke on my rear wheel on the way into work so unless I can find a mobile mechanic to fix it today (looking unlikely) I'm going to have to wheel it home on the train :-(. I was really looking forward to tonight's session so very annoyed that it's looking like I have to miss it!

Big thanks to Patrick for tonight's session; was really kind of you to give up your time and give us such a useful, well structured and fun session. We really appreciate it....lots of useful skills learnt that hopefully people can put into practice at the DP worlds! Was fun chasing Jen George too.... thanks for helping us out too Jen!
