So do these things slow down a bit over winter, or are they just as fast paced?

It's good to know some things don't change.
Probably not what I want starting out again after a break, though - I might get back into things with the wednesday rides for a week or two...
Cheers Sam.

Someone (David!) said I should go on the chain gang if I really want to race next season. So last night I turned up at Elmers End and there was some guy in a flashy GB suit. I hoped he might have bought it in a shop, but to my dismay he hadn't. Suffice to say I got dropped by Tom White and his pals at Green Street Green. Next week I'll get to Pollhill dammit!

I thought I'd try and start things off a little easier and give the wednesday ride a shot -- it's actually a fairly solid pace. The first time I rocked up for the chaingang I was expecting something fast and challenging but it was a suprise just how fast and how many times I got dropped before finishing in something that resembled the group. The wednesday ride is actually closer to what that naive version of myself was anticipating all those months ago... Give it a shot if you get bored of being dropped but still want a good workout.

And rumour has it that Mr White had already been out for a 6 hour warm up. I'm not sure that's fair.

Bit late with a reply, 3 weeks to be precise, not it was not a rumour, twas 100% true, Boy Wonder had indeed done a 6 hour warm up, I was with him for 4 hours of it before escaping to work for the afternoon, the boy needs to get a job rather than ride his bike aimlessly around the streets for 8 hours a day.
Where have all the Dulwich gone lately though, bit early for work Xmas parties isn't it?
