Boggy with loads of running, which I seem to do ok on.. So it was a bit of a disappointment. I didn't crash, it wasn't that sort of course.. My rear mech just dedcided it wanted to chew through the seat stays and bend aload of spokes for good measure!

Wow, sounds painful expensive!
I'm out for the team champs I'm afraid - another commitment.

Looking like we have the following candidates for the teams on Sunday -
Elders (50 plus) - Andy Pollintine, Charlie Codrington, Mark Hindley Vets - Micheal Williams, Jonathan Maher Seniors - Kevin Ball, Dave Rees, Alex Robbins, Stan Nutter, Joe Clifford, Women - Beth Hodge
The following raced at Bethlem- does anyone know if they wish to race on Sunday and/or if there is someone missing from this list?
Greg Moss (Senior), Tom Durno (Senior) Rhys Keepence (Senior) Micheal Vance (Senior)
Given the high quality of the entrants, I think our best option is to enter 3 (possibly 4 if more show an interest) mixed teams. Unless I see postings to contrary by Thursday afternoon I'll assume this agreeable to you all and enter the teams.

Charlie, in the interests of rallying the troops - let me name and shame some strong team candidates who haven't thrown their hats in the ring (and come up with some ready-made excuses for them):- Alex Ioannides - Wants to ride, but is still waiting for the computational analysis to complete of the simulation he's running to calculate optimum tire pressure to ensure minimum power loss on the course given weather, mud density, barometric pressure, and how much he's likely to eat this week.. Alan Strang - is a massive closet cross fan and needs to be dragged outdoors from watching YouTube videos of classic Sven Nys dismounts. He's done the team champs before though - so no excuse. Chris Wilkinson - Wants to ride, but is unsure if he meets the UCIs new minimum height requirements. Currently awaiting email confirmation from Brian Cookson. Gareth Welch - Could ride the event, if he is able to remember which bush he threw his cross bike into 3 years ago at the last team champs that he rode. Mark Mc Cullough - some doubts about his form at the moment, as he was reportedly feeling "a bit tired" after his 170k 3,500m cross bike training ride on the weekend (not kidding on that one!) Phil Jones - Strong rider but lacks experience. Could be up for it if someone can show him the basics. Lexie Shaw (2nd claim) - raced her first cross race recently , but is worried about not being competitive enough. Wants to be able to keep up with Helen Wyman before she feels ready to represent Dulwich off-road. Greg Moss - another strong cross newbie, but his recent heavy track participation means he can only turn left. We get two riders out of that lot and I reckon we'd clean up..

Tough luck James, it was a beast of a course. I've already started running in time for next years event.

Time for arm twisting is over, alas Jonathan's valiant efforts to publicly shame a few more into entering have failed dismally - its their loss. Nevertheless, 3 incredible strong teams have now been entered, I'm especially pleased to see a very youthful 'senior' team.
Blue Streak - Kevin Ball, Michael Williams, Dave Rees and Alex Robbins Blue Train - Andy Pollintine, Charlie Codrington, Jonathan Maher, Mark Hindley Blue Bird - Stan Nutter, Joe Clifford, Kaspur Gorski, Beth Hodge.
I have sent this list off to the organiser and will confirm whether you need to pay at sign on or me.
Pls post up if you need lifts etc, there are are number of you that do not have access to cars and will need help getting there.

Mark "miles and miles in the mud" Mc Cullough is still a maybe Charlie (TBC tomorrow).
So that's a possible star addition to the lineup

...and shouldn't the vet's team be called "Blue Rinse"?

Great Charlie thanks for sorting and having me on board. Top team name also!
I'll be heading there with my brother, who is riding for a rival team...sibling rivalry at its best!
Look forward to seeing you all Sunday. Cheers, Beth
