they could look like Gillian Anderson rather than Gerry Anderson. ( No ;D ) Hmmm, Agent Sculley or Destiny Angel (lead fighter pilot from Captain Scarlet)?

Something to mention before we re-order with Sportful. I think the kit is generally fine but having resorted to a long sleeved top earlier this week I found the sleeves to be a bit err ...long. Anybody else noticed the same or is it just me?

I'll have to get my hands on a long sleeve soon. I normally find the sleeves are too short for my simian arms!

The stitching on the shorts and jersey sleeves of my new kit is starting to unravel after ten washes. I am not impressed with the quality of the kit. If I had bought this clothing from a bike shop I would have returned it. Has anyone else had the same experience with the new kit or have I just got a duff set?

After only half a lap of France, fraying, unravelling and discolouration are obvious.
And my kit is in a bit of a state also.

Are people getting problems with shorts, tops or both? It's a bit worrying that there are several people commetning on fraying an unravelling sticthes.
I only have the short sleeve top which I've not had any problems with - either stitches or colour (in fact by far my most comfortable top) but can't offer any comment on the shorts.

I've got a few problems with shorts. I hadn't really noticed it until I looked. The stitching on the pad is coming away in one place, and the pad is tearing away from the stitching in a few places. I've also started to notice how the colour is sun faded on the legs of the shorts, it's noticably bluer higher up where it's protected from the sun by the shirt. I have been wearing these shorts pretty much everytime I ride, but I think the old ones were probably more durable than this even if they weren't anywhere near as comfortable.
No problems with the shirt, it's absolutely fine but please can we have long zips next order?

The stitching on both sleeves of my jersey and one leg of my shorts has started to unravel. The Impsport stuff is still going strong - apart from the big holes as a result of falling off.
I know it's a hassle to change suppliers again, so it might just be worth having a word with Sportful about the problems we've had. I think Charlie knows one of the UK Sportful reps. On the basis of my experience with our new kit I wouldn't go out and buy any 'non club' Sportful gear.
Also I'd support Kevin's call for long zips.

My stuff is 100% fine, apart from the fading which is pretty much unavoidable with all kit that has panels of slightly different material.
The difference between this and Impsport is huge. Not sure if we'd gain or lose by looking for another supplier, but it's definately worth complaining if other people stitching is coming loose.

My kit is absolutely fine at the mo - no unravelling or noticeable fading, and I've worn it a lot. However, if there are quality issues, I believe we're in the process of getting Provision to make women's kit so maybe we could order men's stuff from them as well.

My stuff is also fine after over 20 washes, and the shirt is the best I've had (apart from the short zip). No fading either. I wash with Ecover at 30degs, short wash, if that is significant. Putting the old rag trade head on, it's unavoidable to have some seconds in a batch, and stitching on garments like these is the most likely thing to be inconsistent. I agree that the best thing to do is to highlight the problems with the sportful rep and squeeze him/her on the factory's quality control practices. He ought to offer credit notes on obviously duff garments if they are returned, but he will have to be pressed on it - he won't offer to do it otherwise. He will probably have an idea of an 'acceptable level' of returns. I doubt if it will pay to withdraw our business at this stage, just to re-source elsewhere with its attendant set-up difficulties and costs. No harm in threatening him with 'Provision', though... (I've not heard of them). No harm in getting a quote and a sample either. In the meantime, I recommend taking the kit out of the polybag and inspecting it for faults before handing Bob your hard-earned.
