Should we re-order with Sportful?

In spite of the delay and lack of women's kit I think the quality is better than before especially the shorts, so yes. But, what about long zips on the shirts this time round?

We need to sort out the question of women's kit before we decide anything, in my opinion. We need a supplier who can meet the needs of all members of the club, and potential members. It seems daft to be in a situation where we need two different suppliers for our kit. The priority for kit should be those who have none at the moment, i.e. the women, rather than getting additional stock for people who already have some.

I think we should focus on sorting out the women's kit before ordering more men's.

Is it too late to choose a supplier who has 'pimpy blue' as a stock colour? Wasn't that the main reason for going with this design?

Santini do both men and women and make really great kit. I have seen otehr UK clubs in Santini clothing (addiscombe?) who we could ask. Granted if we move the men's order we'll pay for the initial set up charges. Anybody thought of pushing sportful to start a women's line? Main website is: www.santinisms.it/index2.aspxContact page is: www.santinisms.it/contatti/contatti.aspx

I think the SPortful kit looks good, though if you ask around you'll hear that it's not very well finished off. (I'm not the only one with threads coming undone around the bottom of tops and shorts!) The pockets are also very small and hence difficult to use.
Also, while we're at it...how about skinsuits for blokes too? Riding track, TT's and things like Palace in top and shorts just doesn't quite cut the mustard...!

I'd be interested in a skinsuit too. I know you all think I now rub titi - but when it comes to TTs i'm still Dulwich! (under RTTC rules)

You're right to say that the Addiscombe kit is made by Santini. However the kit is bought directly from G. Butlers in South Croydon rather than through the club. Maybe worth looking into for ourselves? I could have a word with them on Monday.

Go for it - obviously this club is a democracy, so my opinion is just that, but it is worth looking at all options. Santini do women's and cater for Big Men Riding!

I understand that we looked at Santini kit last time round and that their set up costs were very, very high and the quality nowhere near as good as sportfuls so I really don't think we should go down that route given that we have only just forked out for set up costs.
As I understand it from Julene Pro-Vision can make womens kit for us in smaller quantities, so that we can keep using sportful for the mens kit. They can also do skinsuits for men for those that have requested them. Kirsty is sorting it out with them with samples etc.
In my opinion it seems to me that after all of the work done last year on the new kit, in designing it, researching suppliers and coming up with intitial set up costs it would be silly not to stick with sportful at least for the mens kit. The quality of the kit speaks for itself as everyone is wearing it and that Bob needs to order more shirts, the quality is without doubt leagues ahead of the prevoius Impsport stuff.

I haven`t bought any of the new club kit so far because,to my mind it doesnt seem to be properly constructed. Now, with the possibility of being ostracised fron the club, it seems that the banding should be at the same level across the chest, there is too much DULWICH PARAGON across the shirt, and the roundels should be limited to two. I also feel that the banding around the arms and neck could be tidier. Aparrently the quality of the shorts means that the blue is fading to white and that should be addressed. I wouldn`t wear a skinsuit made like this so antipate time trialling in a plain suit next year. Please - how about Danny or someone else tidying this design up

Howard -
I agree with Kevin - we should stay with Sportful and sort out the women's kit. I wasn't aware of all the supplier research that went into it before. Sorry!
What we shouldn't do is get into a discussion about the design. I looks fine.
I don't have any kit, but I am patiently waiting for it. How long before we make a decision? Is there a but off time, before we make an order? It'd be nice to have the kit before 'Falling Leaves'.

I`d have thought that the women would have been delighted with their reorder if they could look like Gillian Anderson rather than Gerry Anderson. ( No ;D )
