Are there any plans to watch the prolouge on Saturday?
I remember last year we went to a pub who kindly let us use a back room to watch it.
Not sure if that's going to be possible with the football on the same day?

That sounds like a great idea. Definitely up for Page 3 (2?), a pint and the big screen...

Dick at Page2 is very accommodating, but with the footie being on, no chance, unless you all promise to drink 10 pints and sing for England.

What are you saying, a bottle of SIS (with constant requests for tap water refills) and chants of venga, venga wont go down too well?
What about if we promise to wear full cycling gear and bring our bikes in?

Here are some tips for fitting in. 1) Eng-ger-land has three syllables. 2) The referee is of dubious parentage. 3) Portugese custard tarts are not as good as the ones from the Nunhead bakery.

I'm sorry I can't stay quiet, are you suggesting that there is anything in the world that comes anywhere near that sublime pastry, the pastel de nata? I'm sorry, custard tart indeed, humph!

Heaven forfend! 'Tis my favourite pastry in the world. Just hasn't caught on in Nunhead yet. We await it's Dulwichification.

btw the italian caff in Charlotte Street might be a better bet for the prologue. They are cycling fans, might not be open Saturday, though?
