This has been received from I assume Lewisham Council
Hi,
We are producing a feasibility study into the creation of bike trails at Beckenham Place Park.
We are looking for comments and feedback from the local cycling community to reinforce (or negate) the case for potential cycle trails, including bike skills area and pump track. Your members may wish to comment on:
Whether as cyclists, they would use these cycle facilities and would they bring their families? Whether as a club, you would consider using the facilities for coaching and events Whether in their opinion, these new facilities would attract more of the local population to get on a bike? If/how they would like to be involved at Beckenham Place Park and how else they may like to see the site used in the future And of course any other comments are also very welcome! We don't wish to take up a lot of your members time so this is intended as an informal discussion with some overall conclusions.
Keep it positive please, to have local MTB skills area and pump track would be a fantastic boon and great area to do some decent MTB/CX ish training.
Charlie

Mick - you're well ahead of me on that one - just post up your thoughts and we can see what's best later.

Loosely related to this, Michael Humphries (Beastway MTB organiser and promoter of the cross race held in BPP over Christmas) is arranging a meeting at the end of March to listen/discuss plans for the future cycling activities in BPP. Check out his facebook group for details.
